Chapter 9

“I don’t want to change myself just for other people. I want to live for myself, no matter how people change, no matter how people treat me, I will still help people, in the way that I think is right!”

For a moment, Anna seemed to feel a great motivation from Vivia. She never thought that, although she was just a small student, inside Vivia was such an enormous flower of freedom.

The two girls sit and talk for a long time. Both feel the sympathy that the other has for them. Their interests are the opposite, but still can’t stop them from becoming closer.

“You don’t know. Actually, my dream is to become a knight.” Vivia grinned, “Isn’t that very weird?”

“Wow, that sounds strange.” Anna tilted her head to look at Vivia, “Why don’t you want to be a princess but a knight?”

“Knights look cooler.” Vivia blushed and turned away.

“Strange. I feel very comfortable talking to you.” Vivia opened a bottle of beer, “As for just now when I hesitated to come to find you, I’m sorry.” Vivia was a little embarrassed, her voice lower than in the previous sentence.

“I also feel very comfortable talking to you. But about the other thing, I don’t blame you, on the contrary, I am very grateful to you. If you didn't come, I might still be in WC now.” Anna laughed.

After a moment of silence, Vivia held out her left hand, slightly bowed her head, scratched her face, and shyly said, “Then we’ll be good friends, okay? I mean, those close friends!”

Anna chuckled. Vivia was cute. “You mean that best friend, right?”

“Uhm.”

“Ok, then we will be best friends in the future!” Anna shook Vivia’s hand, and the two idiots looked at each other and laughed.

10:00 pm.

Anna took the towel to wipe her hair, her wet hair fell over her shoulders, and her beautiful face after bathing became even more shimmering in the night.

It’s been more than half an hour since Vivia saw Anna off. Recalling the last conversation with Vivia, Anna felt very fond of this girl.

Vivia is a kind girl with a cold exterior, but actually, her temper is quite hot. Vivia is sincere and willing to sacrifice herself to help people around, like the female knight in the story. Like that, and the same way she did in the past, even though it hurt her quite a bit.

But Anna believes Vivia will still be a kind female knight like her wish in the future.

Well, not everyone rich is ugly, right? So far, Anna hasn’t had much of a good image of the rich, but today, Vivia is an exception, oh, and Vivia’s parents too.

Anna thought for a while. She drank a glass of warm water and prepared to go to bed. Normally, after nine o’clock in the evening, her family is active in each person’s room.

Cart’s mother is sick, so she usually goes to bed early, her father is the one who takes care of her mother, so she often sleeps a little after her mother, younger brother Jimmy goes camping with friends today, and will not come back next week, so in the house, there is only one person left. Anna herself awake.

Lying in bed, Anna recalled the last few days, even though it had been less than two weeks, so much had happened. Everything made her head spin.

From transferring schools, encountering mean Brandon, haughty rich girls, to being locked in the toilet by Brandon’s fans, being saved by Vivia, and becoming close with Vivia. It’s all like one. Such a dream. It was completely different from her previous days, only going to school, working part-time to earn money to help her parents, and going home to clean, yes, completely different!

Anna also thought of the people who locked her in the toilet this afternoon, but she didn’t want to take revenge on them. First, she doesn’t know who they are, second, she also doesn’t have time to take revenge on people who don’t know their faces. Her most important job is to earn money to treat her mother’s illness.

‘Hmm,’ Anna thought, ‘Maybe I should be more careful!’

The next morning, when Anna came to class, she look around.

Anna looked at the seats of the three girls who invited her to the library yesterday but did not come, now they are laughing and talking happily together as if nothing happened.

Sensing Anna's gaze, the three girls turned their heads away, then they continued to laugh and talk to each other. Seeing their actions, Anna's intuition told her that these three girls might be involved in locking her in the toilet.

But Anna had decided not to bring it up again, so she turned her head away and sat down at her table, prepare something to the next period.

When Anna looked at Brandon, she was a little surprised, Brandon was rarely reading a book without falling asleep, but she didn’t care what Brandon was doing. Even when Brandon was just about to move closer to the edge of the table, she was already sitting on the edge of the table, even though Anna deliberately arranged her school supplies as far away from Brandon as possible.

“What you are doing?” Brandon looked at Anna’s strange behavior. He raised his eyebrows questioningly.

“Huh? Didn’t you say how far away I should sit from you?” Anna looked puzzled at Brandon, answering him.

“It’s true that I said that, but isn’t your action a bit outrageous?”

Brandon glared at Anna sitting on the edge of the table. Even the chair was pulled to the other side. At Medrano High School, the desks are fixed by foam pads. It takes a while to disassemble, and it takes a lot of time to re-glue. Only the seats can be moved.

Anna looked back at her position, it was true that the distance was a problem, but remembering yesterday that she was locked up by Brandon’s crazed fans, the others even warned her to stay away from Brandon, Anna shivered again. She feels scare now, really! His fans made her terrible.

“It’s okay, this distance is appropriate. I feel it’s quite good.” At this moment, Brandon had a hallucination that in Anna’s eyes existed a bright light.

Brandon averted his eyes in annoyance, cursing under his breath, “Absurd!!!”

Peter heard Brandon’s whispers and looked down, apparently interested in seeing Brandon angry.
