Chapter 28: Defied his orders

"What?" Arthur growled in anger and his eyes immediately became black as he stood up from his seat.

“I clearly told her not to leave the mansion,” he growled.

Adrian didn’t know what to say to calm Arthur down so he kept quiet. “Cancel the meeting, we are heading back to the pack,” Arthur informed Adrian and he left the room.

Barely twenty seconds after Arthur had left the room, the door to the conference room opened and Lance walked in. “How did he take the news?” Lance asked.

“You idiot, why didn’t you just tell him yourself?” Adrian snapped.

“Well, for starters, I didn’t want to deal with an angry Arthur and second, I was hoping he would rip your head off!” Lance said and this earned him a growl from Adrian.

“We are heading back to the pack,” Adrian informed Lance.

“Yes!” Lance exclaimed as returning back to the pack would mean that he wouldn’t have to deal with the boring paperwork. “Come on, let’s get going,” he urged Adrian.
