Chapter 49 The surprise

Sean drove to an opulent jewelry shop.

Natasha was a bit surprised. She thought he was taking her to dinner but brought her to buy jewelry. "Why are we here?" she couldn’t stop herself from asking.

Sean pulled over and took his time responding. "I thought I should buy you something on our first date." He stepped out first and walked around to open the door for her.

She came out. "You have already bought me a dress."

Sean didn’t respond to it. He put his hand on her back and led her into the shop.

A saleswoman greeted them warmly.

Sean asked her to show Natasha some jewelry before getting on the phone.

Natasha went with the saleswoman, finding it strange that he had suddenly turned cold. He was supposed to accompany her. She wondered what urgency had come suddenly that he had to check his phone.

Sean resumed his smile as he slipped the phone into his pocket. He hurriedly went to check some rings once he made sure that she was not paying attention to him.
