In the end, Zach got what he wanted. He stayed in room 312, precisely beside Nevea's room. He could listen to everything Nevea did in her room, from the sound she made when she cursed to the water that dropped onto her body until the slightest move she made on her bed. Zach was like a creep. No, he was a creep. If he were normal or had a little decency in him, he would not do that. He would turn off his hearing ability and sleep like a log. "Too bad for her. I am not normal, nor am I a gentleman," Zach grumbled while focusing on the sound Nevea made. Nevea was completely clueless about Zach's stalking behavior as she was too focused on researching tomorrow's auction. Each year the auction would be held forth times. During that time, many rare items were sold at unimaginable amounts, especially items equal to secret information. Money was never a problem because Vlassta gave her enough to spend. The clock kept ticking as she engaged in her work until she totally lost track of time.
"Your Majesty."Zach glared at the strange man with a look that could kill him, but the man was completely oblivious to it as he was ecstatic to see Zach. "Your Majesty, I am Jude Wells. We met a long time ago." Jude introduced himself since Zach showed a sign that he had forgotten about his existence. "Who are you calling your majesty? Don't you know the king is Levi Dacre?" Zach said with a chilling voice that made Jude shiver. "And who the fuck are you?" He asked harshly. "I am the councilman Jude Wells, the one responsible for Stormsire," Jude said. He peeked at Zach's expression, wondering whether his words might have triggered something in Zach's memories. But, sadly, it did not. So he added his words. "I met you for the first time around five hundred years ago. You came here to look for a soul catcher, Liezel Rowan.""I did? What for?" Zach probed. He did remember going to Stormsire to hunt, and that was when he met Silas. But, what this Jude said was never in his memory. "I
A man dressed in full black showed them the way. Zach shamelessly walked along with Nevea. He extended his hand to hold her, but Nevea elbowed him on his stomach and walked faster."So feisty." Zach shook his head as he followed behind her. They were led to another room on the second floor. Each person was handled by different staff. The man who hosted the auction approached Zach, who stood alone without a companion. "Please follow me, Mr…." The man trailed his words."Zach." He replied as he rested his ass on the chair. "It's a pleasure to have you join us in this auction, Mr. Zach. I can't say my name, but you may call me Silver." Silver stated, grinning from ear to ear. If Zach continued attending their event, they would get another rich who would throw their money without thinking."My necklace, Silver," Zach replied, barely bothered to stay polite with the masked man. "Oh, right. I am sorry for keeping you waiting." Silver then took a suitcase to the table and opened it in fro
After Zach went out of Nevea’s room, he immediately dialed Silas’ number. “Hello, Your Majesty?”“Silas,” Zach called his butler name. His eyes stared at the dark sky while gripping his phone. “Have you seen me with Nevea in the past?”“In the past?” Silas replied with uncertainty. “Way before I went to sleep,” Zach spoke. On the other side, Silas gulped and touched the black stone on his bracelet. He did not know whether this was a good time to spill the truth or if he should just wait a little and watch how the situation between Zach and Nevea improved. “Silas?” He heard Zach’s tired voice, and in an instant, he let a lie escape his mouth. “I have not, Your Majesty.”There was no more reply after that. The only thing Silas could hear was Zach’s heavy breathing. He could guess that something might have bothered his king. A few seconds later, the line was disconnected by Zach, and Silas exhaled through his mouth.“I am saved.” He muttered and went back to sleep. Right after the c
Nevea woke up feeling sore all over her body. She sat and began massaging her body with her eyes still closed. “Good morning, Sparta.” Zach’s voice instantly made jumped from the bed in a hurry. Her eyes darted left and right, observing the room that wasn’t hers. “Why am I not in my room?” She inquired while looking down, only to find that she wore an oversized black t-shirt. “Did you change my clothes?”“Don’t you remember what happened last night?” Zach questioned back as he dapped the towel to his wet hair. “Remember what?” Nevea put her hands on her waist, trying to mask her anxiousness by appearing to be more confident in her stance. Zach’s head tilted to the left, and his eyes stared at Nevea, pondering whether she was acting or not. In the end, he shook his head and said, “Forget it.”Upon hearing his words, Nevea moved before her brain could process everything. She grabbed his arm, stopping him from entering the bathroom again. “What happened last night?” Her tone turned gr
Nevea sat alone while enjoying her lunch. She had been wandering in Stormsire, searching for a possible place Gio would use for the transformation. So far, her effort was for naught. She had so much in mind, from her mission to the thought of her missing memory. The phone on her pocked vibrated, completely ruining her train of thought. “You have to run away from Stormsire. Now!” Lola panicked voice greeted her the second she answered. “Hello, Nevea, can you hear me? You should run! Two people from team four will go there to kill you!”Surprisingly, Lola’s flash news didn’t have an effect on Nevea. She had guessed that she would be killed. Regardless she succeeded in her mission or not. It was only a question of time, but now it had been answered. Vlassta had already sent two of their best hunters to kill her. It was ironic how she went from being a hunter to being haunted. “How did you know about that, Lol?” She asked calmly while stroking the pendant of her necklace. Correction,
Nevea was done packing her things and ready to let everything go. She looked at the clock wall that showed it was already two. She pushed the curtain to the side and looked at the weather because, based on the weather forecast, Stormsire would be hit by heavy rain and storm today. Fortunately, it was sunny, and there was no sign of a storm brewing. Nevea lifted her backpack to her shoulder and made her way out of the door. She looked left and right, making sure there was no hunter or Zach near her. After making sure she was safe, she continued to stride cautiously. Just when Nevea got comfortable and let her guard down, she felt something hard touch the back of her head. Nevea gulped and hoisted both hands in the air as if she had given up. “Turn around.” The voice was familiar to her. If her guess were correct, it should be Bryan Wells, one of Team Four’s members. The good thing was he was a human like her. Nevea sighed. She would have had a slight chance to escape if the hunters
Nevea didn't know what had happened. One moment she was bleeding and on the brink of death, and now she was suddenly thrown into another unexpected situation, which she believed she had never encountered before. The stark difference between the place and her clothing gave away that she was dreaming, or Zach was pulling a prank on her again. Right now, against her will, Nevea was sitting in front of a giant glass window that showed a vast landscape filled with towering trees. She then stood up, looked down at her creamy white dress, and felt the fabric on her skin. It was incredibly soft on her skin, which made her believe the material was most likely made of silk. Flower patterns adorned almost the whole part of the dress. 'Another dress… I'm dreaming again.' Nevea thought. She didn't know how in the world she could be in a dreamland, but her mind was totally aware of it. Despite that, she couldn't control her motion at all. She was to watch everything unfold before her eyes again.
