70. Awake

Genevieve POV

I awoke as a jolt of energy forced it's way into my veins, consuming me. I gasped at the feel of the energy resting just below the surface. I opened my eyes to see my brother, my cousin Andre & Rayan all resting their hands on me with their eyes closed as their energy visibly lapped over my skin. Jennifer was standing behind them, her hands glowing bright green as they rested on my brother's shoulders while she chanted.

"Enough, I'm awake, that's enough." I spoke quickly, surprising myself at how fast the words came out.

All of their eyes snapped open to stare at me as Jennifer stopped chanting & pulled her hands away from Gavin's shoulders. Ray wasted no time pulling me into him as though he hadn't seen me in days. I giggled as I crashed into his body, sparks erupting over my skin where our skin met. He bent down & crashed his lips into mine before taking a deep inhale from the crook of my neck, sending me into another fit of giggles.
