Chp 14 Pt. 2 The Lycan Luna

Hunter arrived last night with two trucks. I told him I didn’t need a uhaul since I didn’t plan to take everything. Just my personal belongings and clothes. I don’t need to pack my bedroom furniture as I know I won’t need it. This morning has been full of tears. We couldn’t even get through breakfast without someone crying. I always had a feeling that my mate was not from this pack and I would be leaving it once I found my mate.
I have gone around and said all my goodbyes, but there is one person I have yet to find. I have searched every room and tried to mind link him but I didn’t get through. I smile at Gunner as the lightbulb in my head goes off.
“I know where he is. I’ll be right back.”
“I will come with you,” says Gunner, but I stop him.

Gunner As much as I hate the thought of leaving my mate here I need to get some work done. It’s six in the morning and Kat is still asleep in my arms. I carefully remove myself from her and push my pillow into my spot. She grabs onto it and inhales deeply. Hopefully it’ll be a good substitute while I get some work done. I plan to return before she wakes but I leave a note just in case. I hope my absence doesn’t bring on another nightmare. I get dressed and take another look at my beautiful mate before heading to my office. I can hear staff already in the kitchen preparing breakfast for all the warriors and other staff that work in the pack house. Typically once you find a mate they settle in a house and have breakfast together, but I ensure to still feed my warriors, especially those who worked the night shift. “I’m surprised you left your room,” Hunter teases as he enters my office.
