I can feel her sadness as we cross the border and her old pack disappears from sight. I am happy she doesn’t regret leaving and bring her hand to my lips. I notice she is wearing a bracelet and matching necklace and jealous hits me.

“Who gave you this bracelet? And that necklace,” I say with a bit more jealousy than I intended.

She lets out a chuckle before answering.

“They’re from my brother, why are you jealous.”

“No,” I reply to quickly, making her laugh again.

“The necklace allows me to mind link him despite not being in the same pack anymore. The bracelet allows me to portal where ever I wish. He made them for emergencies though it’ll be nice to use whenever needed.”

I will have to call Kai later and thank him as well. He thought of her safety ahead of time, allowing her to escape quickly if the time ever arises. I hope it doesn’t but you never know wh
