DARREN'S POV

I know Kinsley will tell our friends about the incident at the bar, but I don't care less about their reactions. Leona was in trouble. That guy almost had her, and he will pay for it.

Leona drove in silence. At the same time, I cover my mouth with my hand. I can taste my own blood. Dammit! I didn't see the punches. Why do I always get reckless when it comes to Leon?

I glance at her. She is so pretty with fit clothes. Her curve is well displayed, and that's why that Mark wants her. Too bad I won't let anyone touch her. Not on my watch.

"Is this your apartment?"

"Obviously," Leona answered and rolled her eyes. I felt like I was not welcome here, but she felt obligated to invite me because of my wound.

Leona's apartment was on the fifth floor. Tyler and Sophie got there before us. They were driving fast. I thought Sophie would crash my car somewhere.

"Sit," Leona pointed at the couch. She went to the kitchen and took some ice packs and her first aid kit.
