Still Friends

DARREN’S POV

That night, I was bothered with the thoughts of my cure. If I refused to do it, I would stay a werewolf forever. I couldn’t do it. I am not a murderer. I would never be like one.

Leona called that night to asked about the camping. She was already prepared and thanked me about the card. Though I know she didn’t use it that much.

“What’s wrong?” Leona sense the sadness in my voice. I was full of life with her, but my curse was now holding me back again. I don’t want to lose her. I cannot lose her.

“Nothings wrong, babe. I am fine. I’m just tired.”

“Are you sure? Because you don’t sound tired to me. More of sad maybe.”

“I’m fine babe, don’t worry about me,” I’m deaf silent for a few seconds listening to Leona’s breathing. I think she was listening to mine as well, “Babe, I have a question for you. I hope you answer me directly. I can understand.”

“Go ahead. What is it?”

“If you found out something wrong about me, would you leave me?” My heart was beating wildly, waiting
