Cahpter 52: Babe Come Home

"Nick?" came a familiar voice from behind him.

He turned to find Ruth standing a couple of distances from him.

He walked towards her and Ruth raised her hand making him stop a distance away from her.

"Can we talk?" he asked

"About what?" Ruth replied

"Babe come home," he said

"Came back as what?" she asked

"I see, you miss making my life a living hell," she retorted and he lowered his head surprising her

"Was the remorse I saw in his eyes," she thought but shook her head dismissing what she thought she had seen

"This place is a hospital, let's not do this here," she said and continued to where she was going with Nick following her
