ARTEMIS POV

‘It’s time,’ Selena says. ‘We have to go; you need to get outside quick before the process starts.’

Taking one last look in the mirror I prepared myself for what’s to come, and although many would say that I’m ready, nothing could every properly prepare me for this moment. As we stepped back into the hall, all I heard was one unison gasp, and then the rumors broke out.

I could sense their curiosity and smell their fear. But I know what I must do, with a flick on my wrist, the sliding doors open leading out towards the beach, indicating my way.
