Asher’s POV

Staring at the woman that walked to me, I gave her a cold look, asking with my eyes without saying a word, what she wanted. I wasn’t interested, I was just here to talk to Brent, because he was already here when I called him.

The bar downtown was always packed at this time of the evening, but I didn’t expect it to be this full.

For some reason, it was, and half the bar were drinking.

“What’s going on?” I asked as I looked at her pressed against my shoulder. I would have nudged her off, but I didn’t want to be disrespectful, so I just thought to act civilized instead.

“I just like your eyes,” she said, smiling, and I wanted to shove her. I glanced at Brent and Brent gave me the “don’t do anything, I’ll handle it” look.

“Huh, if you would be interested in looking at my eyes, maybe that would be better, because if you can’t see, the man is wearing a ring, which mean he’s married.” Brent said.

I frowned down at my own finger to see it was bare and before I could frown at Brent
