Aria

I slowly opened my eyes. I stared blankly into space before the details of the room load into my head. I was in my room. The last thing I remember was me screaming at the hospital about how I was going to die. I felt some warmth emanating from my side.

I look down to my leg. It was plopped up on two pillows. I turn my head to the right to see where the warmth was coming from.

Mecael. His head was on the bed. His breathing was steady. My hand was in his. I try to move but he holds onto it tighter. I shake my hand trying to get it away from him.

He stirs and raises his head.

"Hey…you're awake." He lets out a relieved sigh.

His plan to kill me didn't succeed and now he wants to act like he cares. I roughly pull my hand away from him and settle it on my stomach. I turned my neck so that my gaze shifted to the left.

"Go away." I said roughly.

"What? No, I didn't do anything. I couldn't sleep on the bed with you so…umm…yeah…but I could not leave you alone either." He spoke quickly.
