Chapter 12.

Jada looked at me with furrowed brows.

"Aren't you getting up?" He questioned.

"Why?" I managed to asked despite feeling scared.

"Oh gosh Max, she's so naive." Jada giggled.

"I'm not interested in you, I just wanted to check you out." Jada said.

"No, I didn't think you were interested in me, I was just scared of your tone." I said quietly.

"Oh sorry, I talk like that when I'm trying to get in the mood." Jada said and i stood up.

"Turn around." Jada instructed and I did.

I was under his scrutinizing look and I couldn't help but feel small. I've never had someone stare at me for so long so I put my head down.

"Chin up, show some confidence." Jada said with a frown.

"You're a beautiful black woman, I don't know why you're so nervous and shy."

"You should try to be more confident, don't let others look down on you."

"The reason why your husband would cheat on you is because you appear too simple." Jada said tapping his hands on his laps as he crossed his legs.

"You can sit down." He said
