We were currently at the hospital and the contractions had not stopped. I was seated on a hospital bed and I focused on the television that was showing the news. I rubbed my stomach in a circular motion hoping that the pain would lessen but that proved futile.

I was in a really foul mood. I don't know why.

Maybe because everybody kept asking me how I was feeling or maybe because I wasn't feeling better. I don't know but I was angry. I wasn't angry at anybody and I wasn't angry at myself but I was angry.

"Darling,it would be dangerous if you delay the birth more." Mom said trying to convince me to transfer to the delivery room.

For the past thirty minutes that we've been here, they've been trying to convince me to head to the delivery room but I refused because I was definitely not going to give birth without the presence of the father of my child. Plus, my water wasn't broken yet though the doctor did say that it was only a matter of time.
