Chapter 74

(POV - Alex Brennan)

I don't know when was the last time I slept well.

Maybe when I take a nap with Cara, before she sneaks off to the bazaar with Annelise.

The past few days I can't remember how I fell asleep, my body will stop itself when I'm so exhausted I can't open my eyes anymore.

Sometimes I fall asleep on the couch, on the floor, on the bed, anywhere my body has to stop right then and there because of exhaustion.

The whole Pack business is still under Jake's control until now, as I'm still focused on finding Cara.

My parents visited almost daily to follow up on my quest, but usually I was too tired or home too late to see them. Again it was Jake who helped me explain to Mum and Dad.

But even after eight days I still haven't found Cara either. Even though there wasn't a single clue pointing to Edward Adler, Vincent and I still came to his territory to ravage the entire Silver Moon Pack area.

Luckily, when I asked Enforcer and Alpha Sam for help, they immediately agreed without
