Delilah snarled in response at the people guarding her and the others, since they liked to speak dog so much.

As it was, she was not the only captive, but she was the one that almost got away.

Delilah kicked herself internally. All these things would not have happened if she had turned back when her mind told her to. In fact, maybe if she had stopped to listen to her mother, then she would not have been in this terrible situation. She should have allowed her mother to explain what happened, in her fair sense of justice.

It was her mother that was there, and not the reporters after all. She shouldn't have concluded something based on the internet. Not when she knew that things like the moon landing was a lie.

Or if she didn't run away after her mother had seen her when they went to her tree house.

Delilah hoped that she would somehow be found.
