CHAPTER 39

Lydia Avanti had ordered a press conference in order to address the anxiety of her shareholders, board of directors and the general public over their worry on who would take over the company in her absence.

She made sure her personal assistant complied with her directive against his own misgivings after he had told her of the decline in the price of their stocks.

The press conference was organized in the huge hall of the corporation. Within two hours of the announcement, the hall was filled to the brim and many were live streaming the event to the viewers at home.

Over sixty reporters and journalists from various news platforms across the world gathered in the hall to listen to what she had to say. Many of them had been holding different news editorials on the issue.

Investors, share holders, business moguls and partners, and senior managers of the corporation were also present. Many company employees were also seen trying to maintain order and blend into the teeming people.
