CHAPTER 21 The Junkie

Ian looked up at the brown old building, windows are patched by just any materials that can fit into it. It is four-storey building with many rooms. It wasn’t difficult to guess where Suzanne lived. He entered and walked up the staircase to the fourth floor.

The door to the fourth floor was opened by gruff looking man. “Suzanne Craig, you say, follow me”. He led him past the stairwell and into a corridor with four or five doors. He pointed at one occupied by Suzanne.  “We don’t like having police running around up here” he said. “what did she do?” the man was obviously wary with people visiting the place.

Ian understand that this man earned cash on these small, crappy rooms. So he treated his tenants properly.

“She is an  important witness to a renowned  case. I request that you give her the  support she needs. Do you understand?”
