CHAPTER 25 The Convict

Ian can sense his partner’s discomfort as they were entering the vicinity of the prison establishment. Not that he broke into a sweat or was reluctant.  But he grew unusually quiet, and stared blindly at the tower gate as if waiting to crush him.

 Ian did not feel that way. For him a prison is a convenient closet into which some of the country’s worst assholes  should be kept away. Away from the good citizens who just wanted to have safe and peaceful life. So, for him they deserve being there. That was still his firm conviction.

“ I believe we should go this way” Ian said leading to the right wing.  They were already through with the formalities and then given the signal that they can proceed. As they are approaching another turn one of the guards came to show them to the visiting room.
