“Well, it’s going to be a long ride.” he said, his other hand snaking around her waist. “But for now, I mean to do this.”
As the words left his mouth, his lips descended on hers.
Emma let out a gasp as she felt herself being pushed back against the headboard, her trembling hands hardly managing to sustain her. She hooked her arms around him to gain some support, and he took the chance to pull her down and rest her on the mattress instead. Once her head hit the pillow, he threw his limbs on either side of her, momentarily breaking away from each other.
