“You found who?” Tom’s voice boomed in the hall as Jamie dropped the news on him like a bombshell.
Tom had arrived in the morning and had been busy ever since. As it was his father who had invited him, Jamie couldn’t demand for his time at his leisure. It wasn’t until evening that the two of them made time for each other and retired for a glass of whisky. As they poured their second drink for the evening, Jamie started speaking of the brutal turn his life had taken in the past one week.
Jamie sighed, nodding in dismay. “You heard me.”
“I’m sorry, but let’s go back a few steps.” Tom said, putting his hands up in confusion. “You’re saying you found Emma?”
