Femi looked at me with a seriousness. My heart started thudding. I just hoped he wouldn't lie to me. I was genuinely scared that he would act suspiciously.

"Um, so I told you I went to Tunde's house first and then I also went to Kola's. Thinking about it now, like I told your brother last night, I should have just told them to meet me at a bar or maybe Brass and Copper so I could have saved time." He started. He had a valid point. He burnt a lot of fuel going back and forth between lekki and Ikoyi. Tunde lived in Ikoyi while Kola lived in Richmond Lekki. His parents lived in Banana Island which was also in Ikoyi. He didn't section the visits well that was for sure.
