54: Very peaceful beginnings

I didn't know if it was because Clyde didn't hear me, but he was still attempting to attack the wolf.

I immediately pulled him back by holding his clothes, so he stopped. "That's someone I know," I said, stepping forward. "Alpha, what are you doing here?" I asked him with furrowed eyebrows.

He didn't stop. He was still growling at us, and it made me confused. Perhaps he saw Clyde as a threat. "He's not a threat. He's my friend," I quickly made it known to him, but that did not stop him.

He was going to pounce on me when Clyde pulled me back. "Are you crazy? Are you sure that's your friend?" He said, raising one eyebrow as he scanned my body for injuries. "Are you hurt? Did he do anything to you?"

"No, I don't think so," I said in surprise.

The wolf was still growling at us and was attempting to move closer to us when Clyde picked me up.

I caught a whiff of the scent of the wolf and realized that my delusions were taking over my mind completely. It was just another black wolf.
