Chapter 13

Getting to the herd had been something of an odyssey due to the weather conditions. We had gone from a heavy winter to a rainy spring. The roads had become difficult; there were landslides, as well as roads collapsed by water.

It was as if nature itself was screwing up my life.

After three long days, I finally arrived at the South Pack, my home and a place I had to reform from its damn foundations. I hadn't had time to test myself properly, but I already had clear and definite ideas of where to start. However, that didn't matter to me right now; I just wanted to get home, and I took a deep breath as we parked in front of the house.

However, when I entered the mansion, I felt the atmosphere heavy; nobody had welcomed us, and that's why I had the feeling that something was wrong. Circe immediately went upstairs to sleep; she felt exhausted from the trip and from the fact that I had marked her whole body with blows as a way to let off steam for the delay we had.

She had enjoyed it
