I couldn't go to school after what happened on Monday, as my thoughts were still all over the place. I'm sure I looked like a crying mess when I stepped into Amy’s house and cried on her shoulder, telling her how much I loved Rowan. I never dared to say it out loud, but I did. I didn’t want to lose him, but I wanted to give him his own space.

That’s why I didn’t go back home. And here I was, sitting down on Amy’s couch as I munched on a bag of cookies and chocolate ice cream, feeling like crap as my phone rang.

“Hello, Amy? Did you forget something?” I asked as I put the phone between my ear and shoulder to hoist it up while continuing my attack on my ice cream. My laptop was playing sad movies since that was the only thing I was left with from work before the whole incident happened.
