MABEL’S POV

Day after day ever since Bastain left the dragon world in search of Charlotte, I never got rest. The king gave me all kinds of ill treatment that he could offer. I began to wonder why he was doing all of that and I just couldn’t get it.

This took my mind back to when he told me about a friend being an enemy at the same time.

“This is it.“ I said to myself.

He was actually preparing my mind for these things and I didn’t see it. I looked out for another enemy not knowing that it was the one that I trusted the most that would turn against me.

This broke me every day of my life and I just could not help but worry over everything.
