CHAPTER 3CHARLOTTE’S P.O.VI swallowed hard on my saliva, and I noticed Mabel doing the same. She stepped out of the carriage and held out her hand; a gesture for me to come down. I took her hands and steped down the carriage, and I huffed sharply, reminding myself of the rituals that shall follow suit.Two maidens appeared out of the blue and began raining down red roses as I walked down the spread out mammoth skin carpet. CHAPTER SEVENCHARLOTTE’S P.O.V.CHARLOTTE’S ESCAPEAs I jumped, I closed my eyes tightly just so I wouldn’t see where I am going. Fear gripped me at this point and all I could do was pray for a safe landing. The distance from my window to the ground became too long. I looked through the woods and I couldn’t even see the ground, not even the clothes I has thrown down.Like a fruit falling from it’s tree, I landed on the ground.“Ahhh” I screamed as i saw the injury I had sustained. I fell on the sharp edge of a withered tree. “This must have been here for ages”. I said to myself as I looked at the little withered tree. Shutting my eyes, I tried to yank out a piece of the tree that was stuck in my legs. As soon as the stick was out blood gushed out like a fountain. I didn’t know what to do but sob. CHAPTER NINEMABEL’S P.O.VI headed back to Charlotte’s room to fetch her after her father the king had started making a scene about her absence. It was almost noon and festival was already coming to an end. Although the villagers were all around as they have not seen the princess and this year’s festival was majorly about her. It was her coming of age ceremony which coincided with her heat period and her birthday too. The whole palace had been prepared for this great day. It was beautifully decorated and there was lots of exotic food to eat and drink. Those in charge of music was at their best with all kind of musical instruments. The flute players were my best as they released the most beautiful sound I have ever heard.All the dragon men in the clan were present. All waiting to be chosen by the princess as a mate. “What the hell is wrong with the princess?” The prince asked with fury and wrath waiting to be unleashed on the nearest person. “I left her in her room.”
