CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE

NOSTALGIA

"Tulio left his house again and went back to the hotel. He didn't want to go to his grandmother's house again, he wasn't in the mood to hear the whining and sermon that she would surely give him for being there again. He was riding his bike down the street and ran into Shay. He stopped the bike.

'Where are you going?' he asked, pulling up next to her. Again, she reminded him of the old Cloe, he saw sweetness in her eyes.

'Just taking a walk, it's too hot to sleep,' she replied with a smile. 'And you, where are you going at this hour?'

'Just getting some fresh air, nothing special. Actually, I was heading to a hotel where I spent last night.'

Shay was then sure that he and Cloe weren't doing well, since he was going to sleep in a hotel.

'Do you want to talk a little?' she asked, being careful not to show her anxiety and desire for him to say yes. 'We can go to my house, have a coffee or something stronger, and then you can go to the hotel.'
