Even though Nathan was now confused by the sudden change of subject, he still nodded and reached for his back bag from another chair, unzipping it to grab a piece of paper and a pen before he handed them to Zane

Taking the paper and pen from him, Zane wrote his number on the sheet, saying, “If your father ever loses his job or anything happens, call me.” Zane said, handing the paper over to Nathan who hesitated for a long time.

But then he took it and looked at the number closely before nodding and putting the paper in his back pocket.

Even though he didn't believe that Zane had the power to do something about the Bardot family if they seek revenge for what happened to their son, Nathan gave a small smile and said, “Yeah, I guess I will call you if something happens.”

Pacing back and forth, Emma kept tapping her phone in her hand, knowing that Zane left early that morning, didn't tell her wh
