Chapter 16

Under the dark pitch sky a woman stood under the shed, she was dressed in black pants and a big hoodie over her head. The rain fell violently and the lightning from the rain sent shivers to her spine.

Slowly the rain came to an end, and as it drizzled, she walked out slowly from the shed standing by the roadside so she could stop the next cab, in less than five minutes, the cab drew closer and stopped in front of her.

The slender lady opened the back door as she settled in, closing the door with a light thud. She removed the nose mask that covered her face, showing her well chiselled and prominent nose.

“To the New York Prison please” The lady muttered as she leaned weakly against the seat. She gazed lifelessly outside the car trying to appreciate the beautiful city of New York which was enhanced by beautiful delicate light.

She removed her gaze from the window and glanced towards the rearview mirror, only to be met with the eyes of the driver.
