Chapter 20

“Elizabeth” Megan finally screamed, bursting out of her frozen state. She wanted to confirm if Elizabeth was responsive, but there was none. All of a sudden, the waiter to whom she had spilled the juice appeared out of nowhere and started screaming, drawing the attention of the already dishevelled people.

“What have you done, madame? Why did You push her off the railings?” The waiter screamed on top of his voice in a strange accent.

“I did no such thing”Megan defended in a stern voice.

“That's a lie Madame, I saw you, you pushed her. Without even waiting for Megan's response, he turned towards the small crowd that had suddenly formed.

“Everyone, this wicked soul here is responsible for that woman's fall” The waiter countered, pointing his fingers at Elizabeth who was lying on the floor.

People gathered around Elizabeth on the floor trying to examine if she was dead or alive, some started pointing fingers at Megan, who was still trying to process the whole thing.
