Chapter 26

Megan looked at the flowers, and back at Alex, he was making an effort and it was something. “Fine by me” she replied reluctantly.

“Get dressed, we will leave in an hour” Alex stated and walked away.

“The audacity!” Megan shrugged as she closed the door, a small smile crept its way to her face. It's been ages since she received flowers, and it made her genuinely happy, despite the fact that the flowers were from Alex.

There was an empty vase sitting pretty on the table, an idea crossed Megan's mind as she approached the table, she picked up the vase and filled it halfway with water, before arranging the flowers in it.

“This is perfect!” Megan complimented herself as she stared at her arrangements of the flowers.

She opened the box of chocolates and took one out while munching on it, she went through her clothes looking for something to wear.
