"Oh no Theo, I am so definitely not". I look at him in shock ... shit Byron would totally flip if we pulled something like that.

He grabs my hand, entwining his fingers with mine ... those warm eyes keeping mine prisoner. "Oh yes you are and I have cleared it with Byron.. he isn't happy, but he understands it is for the best".

"And how exactly is it for the best ?" He wouldn't lie would he ? If he says he has cleared it with Byron, I can trust him right ?

He holds softly onto my hand, when I try to pull it away. "Because she is the kind of woman, who really wants what she can't have ... so having a girlfriend will heighten the odds of success considerably. I'll be downright irresistible".

I sigh and lean back ... he doesn't need a girlfriend for that, but I am not going to tell him ... for now I let him keep my hand in his. I mean it sounds reasonable enough and I wouldn't have had a problem with it, except that it is Byron I should be with, but he will be with her.
