Chapter 20

Lorraine sprang up from her bed, terrified. Her airways constricted and she could only open her mouth and let out a "hheee…. Hheee… hheeee" as if she has been drowning for a while.

Her eyes fluttered open and bulged out as if to run out of their sockets like Tom's eyes in Tom and Jerry's.

She sat up in bed, gasping for air. She was drenched in sweat.

"It was a dream," she panicked.

But the memory of it was still vivid in her mind. She shook her head, trying to dispel the image from her mind as she looked around the room, then got out of bed and walked over to the window, drawing back the curtains.

She took a deep breath, trying to calm the beating of her heart.

Lorraine was still sweating profusely. Her heart kept on pondering hard and fast like it was going to leap out of her body and fly straight to the moon.

She could not believe what she just dreamed of. A nightmare!
