A few days later;

After Kevin's death, the past few days became hectic for Kilan. First, he dedicated his time in preparing a proper funeral for his deceased assistant, which took place three days after his death.

Although Kevin wasn't married, he still had his parents. Kilan paid his condolences to them, promising that he would always be at their disposal.

After this, Kilan had to come in front of the council to explain things to them. Although the council ended up concluding that it was a mugging as they earlier suspected, Kilan still didn't believe that.

"Kilan, you should try to talk to Mackenzie and see what he says." Said Kamillah. They were in his main office in the council. The chattering outside of the room made him cranky, so he slammed the door shut locked it and pulled the curtains.

"You seem restless, what's wrong?" She asked, walking towards his desk. He gave a frustrated sigh.

"Everything Kamillah. Kevin died and no one is working on the case, we don't even have any le
