Maya POV

I did not fight when Gideon ripped me away from Kyle's embrace.

His words confused me and since I didn't have memories of my past, I didn't want to say something that would hurt him.

He seemed genuine with his feelings as he confessed but so was Gideon yet he still betrayed me.

I don't want to trust a man, after dealing with them, I could say they are not trustworthy.

Somewhere on our way back to the Lycan Kingdom, I fell asleep to only wake up when Gideon gently laid me in bed.

The soft touch of the bedsheets caressed my skin, soothing me.

I laid still in bed, not moving or saying a word.

I had planned countless words to yell at Gideon but none came out of my mouth.

The only thing left in me was the feeling of betrayal from him.
