Gideon POV

I retired for the night after confirming that my mate was safely asleep in her room.

I felt like a huge burden had been lifted off my shoulders. A burden that for years had me drowning in my self made ocean. After speaking with Avery, I felt free, felt liberated. For years, I had been looking forward to that talk and after I made it, I felt good.

The council requested I attend the meeting with the new werewolf girl who happens to be my mate. I sure don't Know what their plan is but one thing is for Sure, my mate will not be attending that meeting.

I Know they would try to intimidate her, something I would really not appreciate.

She has been through alot in her former pack and in the hands of that Alpha. The last thing I want for her is to deal with more pressure.

I don't intend to be polite to anybody who wants to trouble my little mate.

Thinking about her innocent and sweet face, I smiled myself to sleep.
