I finally entered the room that held one of the people I never in my wildest dreams thought that she would betray me.

" Long time Gideon, have you finally realised that I am the only woman for you and came to set me free?" Avery asked.

I scoffed. Even after all these years, nothing about her changed. She was as self conceited as ever. She always makes everything seem like it's about her.

" No Avery, on the contrary, I am here to give you some good news." I said, smiling at her with mockery.

Avery made a confused look, as if I was speaking in an alien language.

Avery burst out laughing like I uttered the funniest joke ever. She must be thinking that I conjured lies to rile her up.

" You? Found your mate?" She scoffed.
