Cain's pov

I moved out of Alpha Vixen's room with worry printed all over my face. I didn't know why he didn't want to let his son know he was sick. Besides, I couldn't call him now because it would be night in their place and I didn't want him to be worried at such an hour so I decided to talk to him about it tomorrow.

"Beta Cain?" One of the maids called my attention and I smiled.

"Hello, how are you?" I asked her, pausing beçause I knew she wanted to talk to me.

"I'm fine, have you seen the alpha vixen, I'm worried about him," she instantly said. She was his personal Maid and she had been observing him for a while.

"Tell me, when did he start showing such symptoms?"

"He has that cough for a while now, almost a month,"

"What? And Zain doesn't know about this?"

"He asked me not to tell anyone. He was just quiet and wants to be alone, he says his time is near,"

Now that was really something to worry about.

"Tell me, what else are the symptoms, did you call a doctor?"
