Castle’s Ghost

Josie walked down from her room late at night. She could not sleep as she kept thinking of how it had been a week and no letter had been sent from Rose.

She wondered if something had happened and the thought get deeper, causing her to wallow in the depressing thought.

As she was walking down the staircase, Josie had heard a sound of footsteps from above her, making her feet to stop suddenly.

She recalled how she was at the second floor of the castle where the third floor above belonged to the duke and the duchess. The duke had left the place while the duchess was terribly ill from the attack that happened last time.

Then whose steps were those?

The servants knew not to touch the third floor, unless they would like to be punished.

Josie only moved her steps once she had convinced those sounds were a part of her imaginary.
