Hunted, Hunting

Rose awkwardly looked at the deer while feeling the warmth spreading from Dominic's strong arm as it wrapped both her hands to hold the bow. His hand brushed over her cheeks as he position the bow on the side of her shoulder.

"What do you think about killing, Rose?" Came his sudden question, puzzling Rose. There is often times where Dominic would give her question that make her reflect on her beliefs. This was one of those.

"I do not condone the act," she answered, stating her belief.

"Even killing this deer here?" Dominic asked her and she nodded softly. "But you wouldn't survive here if you didn't kill anything in the world. Killing is sometime the only way out, especially if your life is on a stake. Take a deep breathe."

Rose's breaths went still as she saw Dominic position the arrow and aim toward the deer's neck. Her fingers clenched tightly and all her reaction didn't fail to fall under Dominic's gaze.
