Chapter 25: Conflict
“Austin!” Shaun shakes the woman vigorously as he keeps on calling her name.
Austin seems to not hear Shaun’s voice. Her mind is flooded with something else, “hmm?” is the only thing that keeps on coming out of her mouth while continuously nodding her head.
“Austin!” Shaun pops in front of Austin, which causes the woman to blink repeatedly because of the sudden appearance of Shaun’s face in front of her.
“Wha-what? What are you saying?” she said, pulling the man to sit beside her. “Are you saying anything?”
Shaun pouted and crosses his arms and looks at Austin, “Do you really have a thing for ignoring me?” he said rolling his eyes to the woman, “I’ve been calling you thousand of times but you just keeps on nodding your head without even looking at me.”

“What is it? Just… tell me… right now.” Grey pants, after running as fast as he can right when he heard from Justin that Shaun wants to see him. With a racing heart and slightly shaking hands, Austin quickly went to the counter and bid goodbye to Peter, and to the other staff of the cafe. Love conquers all, they said. But if a monstrous, blood thirsty beast like me is the one who falls in love, can I really conquers all with only love in my hands? Would our love take away all the fear she would feel upon seeing a beast right before her eyes. I doubt it. I have seen it before. Love is not enough. When one see someone or something beyond their imagination, a beast for example in front of them, one could easily toss away all the things they have gone through. All the memories that they shared together, all the time they spent with each other that would easily go to waste the moment she discover that you are not what they have thought of. People could easily throw something they can’t understand. That’s the worst part of being a human. Unlike us, we can’t choose who we fall in love with. It has been written in our very soul who we are destined to be with. We can’t toss them aside not unless they tosses us first.
