Chapter 57: Best Friend

“You ditched me yesterday, you bitch” Naomi said walking up next to me and sitting down without any food and I looked at her skeptically, she always ate lunch.

“I was busy” I shrugged and a smirk spread across her face.

“How was Ru?” she asked cockily and I looked over at her running my tongue over my teeth letting out a small scoff before shaking my head side to side.

“What in particular makes you think I was with Ru” I ask sweetly and she lets out a small laugh causing me to smile.

“Oh I don’t know Amara” she said straightening her poster and looking over at me “maybe the fact that you both were absent yesterday, along with Julian and Link and although Jace was here there was absolutely no way four out of the five of you got sick” she stated the facts and I smiled at her.

“How very observant of you” I said and she nodded with a smile.

“It wasn’t hard to realize when my best friend wasn’t here” she said, getting a bit closer to my face and I laughed.

“I’m your best friend now”
