Chapter 7: Against You

Nathalie Wrights's P. O. V.

Two weeks since I fell sick, I still don't remember what happened that night. I kept on asking Mia, but she wouldn't tell me anything and will just keep telling me that what important is I managed to get through that night. Until I finally lost my interest and just let it be.

I stood up when I saw Mr. Corbyn coming in my direction. He's with his bodyguard while holding his suitcase.

"Pleasure to meet you, Ms. Wrights.." He offered his hand to me so I gladly accepted it.

"It's my pleasure too, Mr. Corbyn!" I motioned the chair to him while smiling. "Please, have a seat."

After we sat down, I took the folder beside me and handed it to him, and when Mr. Corbyn accepted it, I discuss with him my offer to invest in my company and its main job.

"I like this offer, but.." Mr. Corbyn said before he put down the folder and look at me with such seriousness in his eyes. "Isn't your company almost on bankruptcy?"

I forced myself to smile at him. "I won't deny it----"
