To be clear here, I am not happy about the table flipping, I think it was extremely unnecessary… however, I have to accept that Cain's impulsive outburst was successful. He finally got people to shut the hell up, even my mom.

"I'll let you go now, but you have to control yourself," I say to my mom and slowly let go of her once she nods. She walks to my father's side immediately, and they whisper something to each other.

They aren't as against us as everyone else. My mom is okay with the outcome, just not okay with the fact that my partners are Georgie and Cain —she doesn't really like them. She was even okay with the fact that I'm going to be in a relationship with a man; she didn't even question it too much.

My father, though... Georgie is right, he is conservative. Close-minded. He frowned and got stuck on the 'he's my boyfriend' bit. He asked if I was sure about it, like a hundred times.

I said yes every time.

But today, as soon as the shouting began, they took par
