Sleepover

“It’s different. I feel betrayed by a friend and… I just don’t like the idea of you two together,” he grimaces, making me roll my eyes, “But I’m on your side, always. I’ll support you in anything. You know that, right? Even if I don’t love it.”

“I know,” I nod and extend a hand to him. Justin bumps it and then pulls me into a hug, “I’m going to give Mom and Dad a chance. And I want them to give us a chance too, so… you should propose a dinner. Georgie, Ash, me, you, and those two.”

Justin raises his eyebrows in surprise but smiles. I’m not going to tell him that this was initially Asheron’s idea because I don’t want him to hate him even more.

“Thanks, little brother.”

I feel better after that talk with Justin. Once we say our goodbyes, I return to Georgie, and we continue with our scheduled activities. We’re going to visit the two new fated couples in my pack. Georgie was right; I needed to be here. People seem happy to see me.
