Chapter 26: Away from Home

It was a dull scene with a silent atmosphere. The sun was almost setting but the curtains that were drawn over the windows prevented even the littlest sunlight from entering the home.

Just then, the telephone started to ring violently, filling up the empty furniture-less home. The living room for that matter had just one dusty old couch sitting in the centre with a telephone placed on a stack of boxes.

Upon hearing the telephone, Eliza approached it with footsteps that caused the wooden floor to start creaking. The dust in the room spread all around with Eliza covering her nose with a cloth to avoid chocking on the thick dust filled air.
