The Operation

Valeria turned to leave, but Noah stopped her.

"Wait." He said, and she stopped dead in her track, her heart pounding in her chest, she was silently praying and hoping that he wasn't about to change his mind.

Noah walked to stand in front of her, a mischievous grin playing at the corner of his lips.

"Hope you know you'll start working tomorrow, and not just as my secretary, but also fulfilling your duties as—"

"I know Noah, you don't have to keep saying it." Valeria interrupted. She was quite angry.

Noah chuckled softly.

"I see you're trying to avoid hearing it, but it's alright, as long as you know your duties, and one more thing Valeria...." He trailed off, then he stared deeply into her eyes.

"Don't try to go back on your words, because if you—"

"I'm not like some people, Noah," Valeria interrupted. Her eyes were literally spitting fire.

"I keep to my word, unlike some people, so be assured that I won't go back on my words." She said, and she left immediately, not giving Noah the c
