Kian's POV:

I felt nothing but anguish in me. And even seeing the enemies that killed my men being tortured and killed, did very little to stop me from feeling that way. There was no other way for me to take it. A younger me would have cried his heart out at what he could only assume was Injustice, or a thing of chance and fate. I was too experienced, too mature, and too learned in matters like this to assume that it was of that sort. That a group of lowly bandits would attack my pack out of mere coincidence.

I knew it wasn't. I had a perfectly clean view of who it was that was the main orchestrator. Although I had no proof on it. I knew it was nothing but a handwork of Maddox.

The Coward he was; a man who wouldn't face me head on to declare what he wanted but would send letters to achieve his aim. Maddox was that kind of man. Nothing but a mad cowardly dog.
